Floren invests heavily in energy saving measures

Since the end of December 2009, Floren has halted its production for 4 months in order to implement energy saving measures.  These investments will result in a significant drop in energy consumption.

The dryers will be fully automated, which should lead to a shorter drying time per brick with less energy usage.

In addition, the oven top will be fully renewed with high-quality fireproof material (resistant up to 1300°C) and extra insulation.

Floren aims to achieve an environmentally friendly production process and thus reduce the carbon foortprint of our company.  As an example, the clay pits are located less than 2 kilometers from our plant, which keeps fuel consumption to a strict minimum.
